dc.description.abstractFloating pendulum wave energy converter is a kind of movable object type wave energy converter having a high energy conversion efficiency. However, since it is directly exposed to various wave loads due to the characteristics of floating offshore structures, securing of safety is more important than anything else. In the present study, relative displacements between the mounting units were reduced by predicting displacements under a wave condition on mounting units of both sides of a pendulum as a part of the primary conversion system of wave energy and a rotary vane pump followed by reinforcement. With minimization of a resistance to rotary motion of a pendulum shaft system, it is considered that energy conversion efficiencies can be increased.fshore structures, securing of safety is more important than anything else.
