In this paper, we carried out an experimental model test of a floating pendulum wave energy converter (FPWEC). The wave-induced motions of surge, heave, and pitch were compared according to the incident wave periods and heights. The relative angular motions of the pendulum also measured and compared to evaluate the power performance of the FPWEC. Then the effect of incident wave direction for the pendulum motion was studied. Through these results, we confirmed the stability of the FPWEC and its possibility of applying to the real ocean changing wave directions with time is observed.e angular motions of the pendulum also measured and compared to evaluate the power performance of the FPWEC.
