dc.description.abstract | Ship manoeuvring in shallow and confined waters becomes an issue again to people those who have interest in safe manoeuvring. Reflecting this interest, SIMMAN 2014 will be held with some issues on manoeuvrability of ships including that in shallow waters. Continuing our research on manoeuvring characteristics of ships in shallow waters (Yeo et al., 2012), manoeuvring captive model tests of KVLCC2 ship was designed, conducted, and analyzed. In addition, tests with bare hull condition were conducted to supply the validation data for CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics).shallow waters.
