dc.description.abstractThe purpose of this study is to design a DWT 8,000 ton class CO2 carrier to transport carbon dioxide in liquid state (storage condition : 15 bar, -27.7℃) from capturing facility such as a power plant to the hub port. First, relevant technical materials on conceptual design of CO2 carriers and transport conditions of target vessel were reviewed. Then, to perform the initial conceptual design, main criteria of cargo holds and cargo tanks were set up to review dimension ratio of similar vessels and rules. After the type and material of cargo tanks were selected based on storage conditions, main dimension of cargo hold and tanks was estimated based on the criteria, and cargo tanks arrangement were optimized. Finally, schematic arrangement drawing and 3D model of cargo hold shows the results of this study.cal materials on conceptual design of CO2 carriers and transport conditions of target vessel were reviewed.
