dc.description.abstractThis study presents the results of structural analysis of HDPE (High Density Polyethylene) riser band pert. Target structure is HDPE riser of 1 MW OTEC (Ocean Thermal Energy Conviction) system. The HDPE riser consist of two parts (HDPE pipe, stainless wire). Lumped weight was installed in lower part of riser to reduce buoyancy of HDPE pipe. We investigated the structural analysis of HDPE riser according to various dimension, shape of band part. In the analysis, lumped weight and self weight of HDPE riser were considered by loads. The top surface of the riser is assumed to be a fixed condition. In addition, we investigated the structural analysis of HDPE riser under water pressure various depths. From the analyses, the results (displacement and stress) were analyzed., stainless wire).
