dc.description.abstract | In this study, the model test was carried out for the evaluation of wave load acting on the single-rod as the member of subsea manifold templates at the 2-dimensional wave tank. Wave loads exerted on single-rod were measured using three components load cell with the designed wave parameters. Wave calibrations were performed to find the designed wave parameters. The designed wave period and height were 1 [s] and 0.8 [m]. The position of single-rod was fixed at 0.2 [m] (about half of the designed wave amplitude) above on the calm water level. First, the wave load acting on the single-rod was analyzed with component of the hydrodynamic forces by the theoretical simplified method of DNV-RP. Second, estimated horizontal and vertical forces acting on the single-rod were compared with different positions. Finally, the measured wave loads were compared with the results of CFD simulations and theoretical values based on the Morisons formula.ponents load cell with the designed wave parameters.
