dc.description.abstract | This study deals with the measurement and analysis of propeller cavitation noise in a cavitation tunnel. The purpose of the study was to investigate the effectiveness of the noise measurement system and model testing procedure. Model propeller noise was measured at the KRISO Large Cavitation Tunnel (LCT) and the results were compared with the full scale measurements. The model test consists of cavitation observation, hull pressure measurement and propeller noise measurement. Model propeller noise measurement test was performed based on the KRISO propeller noise testing procedure and its results were scaled to the full scale using the scaling law recommended by the 18th ITTC Cavitation Committee. The model test results were compared with the full scale measurement.
