dc.description.abstractThis study presents an experimental study on installation operation of subsea equipments in waves. Model tests with crane vessel and subsea equipments were performed at Ocean Engineering Basin of KRISO. Manifold and simple weight were considered as subsea equipments. Lifting operations were evaluated under white noise and irregular wave spectra. Through white noise test, vessel motion and wire tension RAOs during lifting operations were obtained. Focus was made on the effect of equipments weight and passive heave compensator. Lifting operations under irregular wave conditions were also carried out to check the effect of passive heave compensator in real sea operation.dered as subsea equipments.
