dc.description.abstractThis study presents an numerical study on deep-water installation operation of subsea equipments under combined environmental conditions. Three simulation elements, that is vessel, body and link, are numerically modelling. The present numerical method is validated by comparing the simulation results with experimental data from model test. The comparison shows quite good agreement between the present simulation and experiments. In order to study the effect of wave depth and wave conditions, a series of numerical simulations were carried out. The performance of installation operation was checked through the vertical motion of the lifted equipment and dynamic tension on crane wire.
