dc.description.abstractAn experimental model test method to investigate current load had been performed by using two kinds of constraint condition. Two types of load cell were used to measure current load on floating offshore structure. Firstly, current load test was performed by using two sensors of 2-axis load cell. In this case model ship was constrained horizontal motion only. Under the same condition, current load test performed using fixed model ship by 6-axis load cell. The results of two experiments were compared. In the case of using 2-axis load cell, there are vertical motion of model ship during the test. The existing of vertical motions were proved by measured water level changes on the hull. From the vertical motion of model ship during the test, the difference of current load coefficients was caused. was performed by using two sensors of 2-axis load cell.
