dc.description.abstractAn experimental study on the active heave compensator is conducted. Offshore crane winch system is implimented in the model ship with PD control logic to simulate the active heave compensator. To measure the motion of the subsea equipment,the underwater camera is utilized. The effects of active heave compensator are compared and analyzed with the structure type, capacity and in different wave condition.he underwater camera is utilized.
