dc.description.abstract | The prediction of towing condition of a towed ship is important work when the disabled ship is being towed in a seaway. The resistance increase of the towed ship is caused by not only hull conditions but also external forces such as current, wave and winds. In case of using multiple tugboats and/or pushers, the prediction of behavior of the towed ship is very comprehensive work. This paper studies the program for simulation of towing condition of a disabled ship in case of using multiple tugboats and/or pushers. The function of this simulation program consists of the prediction of resistance of the towed ship for forward or drifted direction in case of various external forces, and the simulation of behavior of a towed ship and tugboats and/or pushers which are specified as towing force, direction and position. It is considered that this computer program is quite capable of simulation of the behavior of a towed ship in case of using the multiple tugboats and/or pushers., wave and winds.
