Hypocholesterolemic effect and its regulatory mechanism of mineral-balanced DSW in Hepg2 hepatic cells and hamster

Abstract

Beneficial effects of deep sea water (DSW) in metabolic disorders, such as hypechlesterolemia, obesity and diabetes are reported. Here, we studied the effects of mineral-balanced DSW (magnesium (Mg): calcium (Ca) = 3:1) (MB-DSW) in high flucose-treated HepG2 hepatic cells, known as in vitro hypercholesterolemia mode, and investigated about its regulatory mechanism.
