dc.description.abstractThe IMO has adopted emission standards through Annex VI of the International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution from Ships (MARPOL). Due to the IMO agreement, utilizing bunker C oil as fuel oil for vessels will be strictly prohibited. In addition to global requirements, designated areas called emission control areas (ECAs) are subjected to more stringent requirements for the same emissions. For this reason, more marine industries are becoming aware of gas-fueled vessels, LNG bunkering vessels, and waterfront bunkering facilities. In this study, we have adopted the turret moored Floating LNG Bunkering Terminal (FLBT) which is designed to store, load and unload environmental friendly LNG fuel. We have carried out numerical analyses using the high order boundary element method for 4-vessels in various relative distance. Wave drift force coefficients and mean drift forces have compared at an operational seastate. The result will be used to help estimate tug forces when bunkering vessels are berthing to the FLBT.-
