dc.description.abstractIn this study, the effect of a parallel configuration consisted of 4 different floating bodies including FLBT, LNGC and LNGBS, on their motion characteristics were investigated through the free decay test. Model tests were conducted in KRISO’S ocean engineering basin with models manufactured with the model scale of 1/65. Free decay tests were conducted for the FLBT in roll and sway directions, while the motion of each floating body was measured separately. Test results wereobtained by measuring the natural period of related motion and calculating the damping coefficient by using the logarithmic decrement method. These results were compared and contrast with the value obtained from the free decay test conducted previously for a single body configuration. Furthermore, the time series of motion for each floating body was recorded to measure the phase difference between FLBT motion and other vessel’s motion induced by the movement of FLBT.-
