dc.description.abstractThe performance of a ship’s maneuvering in waves becomes more important, because the regulation of EEDI and the guideline of minimum propulsion power of IMO become stronger. To predict the maneuverability of a ship in waves the model testand simulation methods are used. However the simulation methods are more reasonable than model test in time and cost. In this study the simulations of a ship’s maneuvering in waves are conducted. To simulate, the wave drift forces and moments are calculated, and four degree of freedom maneuvering math equations are used in the consideration of wave drift effect. The target ship of this study is S-175 container ship. And the simulation results are compared with the free running model tests in waves of Prof. Yasukawa. The discussion results are presented in this paper.-
