dc.description.abstract | As the S-100 3.0 comes to release soon, the standard defines the contents of various encodings such as GML, ISO/IEC 8211 and Grid. As a specific standard for various encodings has been established, interest in the S-100 standard’s portrayal is increasing in the Korean e-Navigation technology development project which started in 2016 at Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries. The Korean e-Navigation technology development project is to provide and to manage various information necessary for safety navigation. In order to utilize various information, it is necessary to provide information to the user according to the Portrayal Process defined in the S-100 standard. In this paper, we developed a system based on the S-100 Portrayal Process in order to utilize e-Navigation, and studied the factors necessary for portraying the S-100 in the future. The S-111(Standard for Surface Current) data is portraying based on the S-101(Standard for Electronic Navigational Chart). Through this, we confirmed the result that ENC data and Surface Current data are harmonized on the display at the same level. | - |
