dc.description.abstract | This paper concerns about dynamic analysis by numerical models of offshore riser connection. The offshore riser has been connected by various connection type such as bolt, welding and joint. These connection types are very important elements for the installation shape design of riser because it can have a significant impact on the installation and operation of the riser. However, the influence cannot be analyzed using experiment. Therefore, virtual simulation is an unique method for verification of the influence. In this study, we had developed the riser simulation model using the commercial dynamic simulation software DAFUL, and the connection type had been applied using numerical methods in riser simulation model. Finally, we had analyzed the dynamic behavior and eigenvalue by the connection influence through simulation of the riser model and connection model. | - |
