dc.description.abstractThis study investigates the operability of docking stage during float-over installation on jacket structure. It is important to assess DTV’s responses with mooring lines and fenders in combined environmental conditions, as it a sensitive problem and motion responses are strictly limited for successful operation when DTV enters slot of jacket. The commercial software, ANSYS AQWA was used for this assessment after a series of validation procedures through the comparisons withprevious analysis and model test results. Analysis were carried out for various environmental conditions for 4 docking stages, applying 4 different fender stiffness. Operability of docking in the senses of DTV’s motion responses and fender loads is mainly mentioned in this paper.-
