dc.description.abstract | Recently, demands of dynamic positioning (DP) system have been increased due to the offshore plant industry of deep sea area has gradually widen; therefore, it is needed to check the DP system with proper reliability. There are three different method to check the DP system; static analysis using DP capability analysis, time domain dynamic analysis and DP model test. These days, ship owner wants to confirm not only the station keeping ability but also recovery ability after accident. To check these abilities at design condition, time domain simulation program should be needed. To this end, time domain DP simulation program is developed by using 3DOF planar equation of motion and PID controller for thruster simulator. And developed program is validated by comparing with experimental data. Additionally, effect of thruster interaction is also checked. | - |
