dc.description.abstract | J-lay installations is one of typical methods in URF installations, due to few limitation of pipe size and water depth. The model tests for J-lay installations were performed in Ocean Engineering Basin in KRISO. The tests for safety of URFinstallation was carried out in regular waves. The evaluations were performed for the motion of installation vessel, tension of pipeline and roller boxes. The responses for motion of installation vessel were overall have an good agreement but roll motion excessively happened due to J-lay tower. The top tension of pipeline is larger than that of bottom because of the suspended length and dynamic responses. The tension of roller boxes is happened by the contact of pipeline. The tension for all roller boxes is satisfied the limiting criteria of reaction force. | - |
