dc.description.abstract | In this study, a combined power generation cycle using TEG was designed to increase the efficiency of OTEC that uses wasted heat. Industrial waste heat at 75℃ was applied as the heat source of 200kW OTEC using R245fa as a working fluid. Deep seawater at 5℃ was applied as the source of cooling. A combined power generation system using TEG module, which is based on novel material, was designed. Heat energy in the discharged water was applied as heat source for the TEG module. Simulation was performed to improve the efficiency of the device and to improve the complex power generation cycle. The efficiency of the TEG module was compared between 1% and 5%. In order to utilize the arrangement of ORC, the combined cycle using the TEG heat source from regenerator was designed and compared to conventional cycle. In the combined cycle using reheating heat source, 6.2kW output improvement in ORC and 2.8kW TEG power generation were confirmed to improve performance up to 4.5%. | - |
