dc.description.abstract | In this paper, we propose a virtual fire extinguisher operation system for quick and accurate response to ship fires. In this training PASS, i.e., Pull, Aim, Squeeze, and Sweep are applied to virtual training to operate a fire extinguisher. By reflecting the actions used in the actual fire extinguisher operation seamlessly in the interaction technique, the user can quickly operate the fire extinguisher through iterative training. A sodium bicarbonate dry chemical unit was used as a model of fire extinguisher in this study. The implementation of the proposed training system implemented the initial fire suppression in the ship and the digestion was successful only when the correct method was performed. This paper concludes with a discussion of how to apply various types of fire to virtual training as an alternative to realistic fire training that is costly to implement. We also propose the possibility that virtual training can be used for Maritime safety education through trainee evaluation using our system. | - |
