dc.description.abstractKRISO and six other research institutes are currently developing an optimized hull form of the offshore structure, which can be operated in the Arctic region. The offshore structure has a dynamic positioning (DP) system and a mooring system for keeping its position in Arctic 7 ice conditions. There are a lot of risk factors which should be considered for operating in the harsh Arctic conditions. Therefore, relevant experts from the participating institutes have got together to carry out a special HAZard IDentification (HAZID) workshop. The identified hazards in the HAZID workshop should be systematically managed until the completion of the current research project in order to lower the risk level of the related design system. In this paper, the identified hazards investigated by the participating research institutes and risk management plans for the hazards shall be presented. That is, this paper discusses the method to classify the identified hazards systematically, and future maintenance plan until the end of design, and ultimately, measures to reduce the risks in the conceptual design stage.-
