dc.description.abstractThis paper describes the present state of the KRISO Arctic safe Routing System (KARS) under developing process. KARS has functions of 1) the sea ice prediction with accurate and high-resolution in Arctic sea, 2) the transit model includingthe prediction and evaluation of safe speed and DB construction and 3) the voyage planning technology for the safe navigation in Arctic Sea Route. The 2nd validation test has been carried out through the scientific research navigation of Araon in East Siberian Sea from 5th to 26th September 2017. Example calculation for the safe routes of Araon voyage for Northern Sea Route (NSR) on 4 seasons was performed, which showed reasonable result.-
