A comparison study assessing the effect of interface on procedural skill transfer of virtual training is presented. The aim of this research is to evaluate the transferability of two aspects of procedural skills, i.e., procedural knowledgeand technical skills, that are accelerated depending on the type of interface employed for a short-term training. We established one group with lecture(LEC/MAT) and three virtual training groups with a combination of output and input devices: a monitor and keyboard/mouse(MON/KEY), a head-mounted display, i.e., HMD and joypad(HMD/JOY), and an HMD and wearable sensors(HMD/WEA). Task for assessment was a lifeboat launching operation that requires a participants to memorize a 10-step procedure utilizing 14 different pieces of equipment that should be manipulated in each step. Before and after training, we evaluated participant´s performance with regard to procedural knowledge and technical skill on the real lifeboat. In the experiment the MON/KEY group showed the best performance in procedural knowledge assessment addresses visually induced recollections from the real lifeboat. On the other hand, in the assessment of technical skills which determines the manipulation ability through equipment name, that addresses wordbased mnemonics, the HMD/WEA group had outperform. Moreover, the result showed that the virtual training was more efficient training format for a short-term training-
