dc.description.abstract | In this study, the Rankine source method is developed to analyze the hydrodynamic response of a three dimensional floating structure in frequency domain. The radiation and diffraction problems are solved in desingularized indirect boundary integral equation method(DIBIEM). DIBIEM is simpler and faster than conventional methods for the numerical integration because the singularities are located at outside of fluid regions. Sources at floating structure like complex geometry are distributed at surface of body as the conventional methods, because it is difficult to desingularize sources consistently. In order to validate the accuracy of the Rankine source method, numerical simulations are carried out and these results are compared with previous published calculations and experiments. | - |
