Hazardous & Noxious Substance (HNS) refers that pollutants are harmful to the marine environment. The pollutant is about 6,000 such as naphtha, sulfuric acid, nitric acid, benzene. Currently, about 1,064 marine facilities were working under the management of the Korean Marine Environment Management Law. There are various marine facilities in Korea such as hazardous liquid material treatments, shipping industries, power generation, fishing activities. However, there is no construction regulation from HNS for controlling marine activities. A appropriate marine facilities management solution is necessary. Therefore, in this study, a database with each substance of the facilities for the HNS management was created. In our database, the priorities of the substances which are high risk environment were comprehensively investigated. The substances that have adversely impact on the human health and the marine environment which was listed not only in Marpol Pollution Category and GESAMP (Group of Experts on the Scientific Aspects of Marine Environmental Protection) Harzard Profile (2017) but also in IARC (International Agency for Research on Cancer) carcinogenicity, PBT (Persistence, Bioaccumulative and Toxic) substances as the harmful substances. For these negative properties of the substances, the 25 initial out of 192 and 27 chemical species were researched.-
