dc.description.abstract | In this study, numerical simulation was performed on riser hand-over operations considering two-body interaction. The frequency domain analysis was performed using the HOBEM on the two-body interaction between the installation vessel and the FPSO. The interaction effects were found in motion RAO. To analyze the effects of the two-body interaction, wave field was investigated in the region of 0.8 rad/s. The interaction effects were validated with model test results on the motion of the installation vessel and the FPSO. The model test results on white noise and regular wave test had a good agreement with the calculation considering two-body interaction. The time domain analysis was carried out to investigate theresponses of the wire tension. The effects of the two-body interaction were also found in wire tensions. Overall responses were similar to the model test results. The discussion is made on the effects of the wave heading and riser resonance. | - |
