dc.description.abstractKorea Research Institute of Ships and Ocean Engineering (KRISO) has been carrying out a project to develop a hull form design for a year-round floating type offshore structure in the Arctic condition with dynamic positioning (DP) and mooring system. In this project, a new experimental procedure for evaluating the mooring performance of an Arctic offshore structure, which has a turret and mooring system, is developed. A new dry type mooring system was developed and utilized to evaluate the mooring performance with the natural icevaning action. The ice load evaluation test in managed ice condition for the designed hull form are conducted in the ice tank of KRISO. Force in turret and group line tension and planarthree degree-of-freedom motion are measured to evaluate the dynamic response of a turret moored Arctic offshore structure in this paper.-
