dc.description.abstract | To mitigate the consequence of marine accidents, every ship has their own contingency plan. All crews well trained and have onboard training manual for emergency situations. Nevertheless, only a few crews experience real accident through his life-time carrier. When real accident happen, whole situations suddenly changed and fall into chaos. Proper decision making and act in such emergencies quite difficult. For this reason, many of large cruise ships and naval vessels use various kind of onboard incident response systems. Computerized incident response systems are started from simple paper board of deck plans and symbols. However, as up to date incident response system has many functions and technical hierarchies, using incident response system in an emergency is quite difficult task for crews. To aid proper decision making and proper action order, easy and simplified user interface is essential. From the requirements analysis results, key information and functions should be identified and served in appropriate forms with timely manner to decision makers and crews. From this reason, in this study, human-centered decision making support tools are identified and developed in a form of prototype on the basis of real accident data. To assess the effects of incident and response action on the mission and function capability of a ship, previously studied predefined incident scenarios basis simulation database and coded sho | - |
