dc.description.abstract | In this study, in order to investigate maneuvering performance of ship in waves, captive model tests in regular waves of KCS and KVLCC2 model ships were conducted. Purpose of the test is measuring maneuvering hull forces in waves. The model test was carried out using CPMC (Computerized Planar Motion Carriage) in ocean engineering basin in KRISO (Korea Research Institute of Ships and Ocean engineering). The model fixing device with two legs and sensors was specially designed for the test. This system estimates 6 degree of freedom forces and moments by using 12 electric voltage signals. For the test, static drift test was conducted in calm sea and in waves. As a result of the test, the hydrodynamic maneuvering forces in waves and hydrodynamic coefficients related to sway velocity were obtained in various wave conditions. | - |
