dc.description.abstract | Both a fixed and floating offshore structures can be affected by wave impact like a green water and wave slamming load. Almost recent study focuses on the wave impact load estimation on the ship and offshore structure by breaking waves. A model test was carried out to measure the wave impact loads on the slender plate due to breaking waves in the 2D wave tank. In order to generate the breaking wave, a focusing wave method was applied. In this study, the structural response of plate structure based on a measured data of two dimensional tank test was carried out many cases a wave horizontal impact test. It was found that a structural response can be strongly affected by boundary effects, plate thickness and height which are located in wave impact region. | - |
