dc.description.abstract | Ocean energy, such as offshore wind, solar power, ocean thermal gradient, wave power, and tidal current power, are abundant in the ocean space. However, there are some variability and dispersion to overcome. In the Korean waters, ocean thermal energy fluctuates seasonally, while solar and tidal current energy also fluctuate at one- and half-day periods. Furthermore, wave and wind fluctuate irregularly time to time. Therefore, it is recommended to comprehensively benefit fromdiverse sources of energy or to devise multi-purpose utilization for efficiency. In this study, we analyzed the data for renewable energies on and in the ocean, and integrated utilization systems at surrounding coastal waters of Korea. The combined energy mix models for each Korean maritime regions were proposed based on equivalence and practical models for sustainable development at three faced coastal and port areas. The economic feasibilities of these application were compared and analyzed to evaluate the practicalization plan.. | - |
