This paper concerns about digital twin basic research for SURF(Subsea Umbilicals, Risers and Flowlines) operational monitoring. SURFs are structures and equipment that is installed and operated underwater, so it is very difficult to visually inspect for risk review. Therefore, digital twin based operation monitoring using virtual physical system is very necessary. The digital twin system of SURF is built through the development of digital twin platforms, sensors and virtual physical models. In this study, the digital twin platform was selected as a suitable platform for the research through comparative study of commercial platforms. The sensors classified and selected the appropriate sensors by deriving the main responses for SURF operational monitoring. Virtual physical models were developed based on multibody dynamics for the dynamic simulation of SURF.-
