dc.description.abstract | Research on subglacial lakes is being actively conducted worldwide due to the global warming. Cryobot is a robot that can drill and explore by melting the polar ice layer by generating heat energy at the tip. Among various subglacial lake exploration methods, cryobot is able to explore without contaminating subglacial lake and requires relatively little energy. Cryobot development is underway in developed countries. In this study, the research trends of cryobot in Germany, China, and the United States, the developed countries of cryobot, were investigated. In order to develop an independent Korean cryobot, it is necessary to first develop a numerical analysis technique that can analyze microscale heat transferaround the melting tip and to implement modeling that can accurately estimate the melting efficiency. | - |
