In spite of various navigation equipment, ship accidents have not been decreased. Especially, ship collision accident can be developed to catastrophic sea pollution and so it is necessary to analyze the reason of ship collision accidents and apply the safe navigation support system for the prevention of ship collision accidents. In KRISO, the replay simulation system of ship collision accident (RESCA) has been developed to reproduce the navigation data of ship collision accident and playback the actual colliding situation based on Electronic Navigation Chart (ENC) based display. Especially, to investigate the navigational human error during the actual colliding situation, the change of the collision risk is evaluated in the playback simulation of the actual collision accident and the avoidance simulation. The collision risk is calculated by using fuzzy inference. On the other hand, the analysis of ship collision accidents is carried out in orderto reduce the human error and prevent the repetition of the similar accidents. For this, the monitoring system of ship navigation safety (MONAS) have been developed by using collision risk. Especially, the collision risks in each directionand each traffic ship are real-timely estimated by using AIS and displayed on the ENC based display. In order to validate the performance of RESCA, the simulations of playback and collision avoidance are carried out on the actual ship colli-
