dc.description.abstract | Korea Research Institute of Ships and Ocean Engineering (KRISO) has been researching about experimental method for the floating type offshore structure in the Arctic condition with mooring system. An experimental procedure for evaluating the mooring performance of an Arctic offshore structure and a dry type mooring system for KRISO’s ice tank were developed. However, this mooring system could be used only in linear stiffness condition and it was hard to conduct the same initial condition for the incident angle. In order to solve that problems, a non-linear mooring stiffness generator and initial position control device were designed. In this paper, the mooring performance evaluation test was performed of the Arctic FPSO in KRISO’s ice tank. The ice load in line tensions and thee degree-of-freedom motion of the offshore structure were measured. | - |
