This paper presents an evaluation system to experimentally verify the performance of a double-sided linear permanent magnet synchronous generator (PMSG) prototype. In general, research on wave power generation systems has concentrated on the optimum design technology of PMSGs, power generation performance analysis technology, loss analysis, and performance evaluation technology. Despite active research in this field, the performance of a system wherein a wave generator and buoy are linked has never been evaluated. Therefore, in this study, a linear PMSG was used in a performance evaluation system to predict a buoy's motion and derive the parameters for optimal power generation under regular and irregular wave conditions.-
