dc.description.abstractMarine debris is a serious problem that causes marine pollution, reduces fishery resources, and threatens safety of ships. However, there are no monitoring systems currently in place for checking and predicting the amount of marine debris and the distribution of damaged areas and damage scale. In order to solve these problems mentioned above, the development of an integrated service environment for a systematic and efficient management of marine debris is required. Accordingly, we intend to create a platform that can predict and monitor the generated amount of marine debris and its distribution by visualizing data using graphical methods and/or by utilizing GIS common GUI components. In order to develop sucha platform, first of all, it is required to implement a data collection prototype in connection with a big data platform. The next step is to design a data mart in a big data storage for big data analysis. Resources can be shared among administrative agencies, and by composing a standardized and generalized infrastructure, a self-consistent system can be developed. After that, an AI-learning data mart for marine debris analysis will analyze the data, and a model for estimating marine debris occurrence will be designed. Finally, a user-friendly platform will be produced by simultaneously providing analyzed results in the form of a graph or map layers using GIS common GUI components. By developing this marine-
