dc.description.abstractStereoscopic Particle Image Velocimetry (SPIV) technique was applied for the flow field measurement around KRISO Container Ship(KCS) under steady drift tests in the KRISO towing tank. A special device was developed for restraining model ships for drift conditions. Upgraded CMOS cameras with 25 mega pixel resolution were applied. Upgraded 300mJ dual Nd:YAG Laser source was adopted. Resultant system can capture stereo images with expanded field of view and better resolution. Overall quality of flow field measurement was examined through the uniform flow. Flow fields were measured at propeller plane for straight forward (β=0°) and drift test condition (β=6°), and design speed and load condition. Analysis technique and the results were presented.-
