dc.description.abstract | In this paper, an additive was introduced into the electrode as a method to improve the degradation of fuel cell performance due to hydrogen depletion in a hydrogen storage tank. Hydrogen depletion may occur in marine vessels powered by hydrogen fuel cells. Therefore, hydrogen cannot be supplied to the anode of the fuel cell. In this case, when the current load continues, a voltage reversal such that the total voltage of the fuel cell reaches -2V is observed. Voltage reversal causes corrosion of the carbon (catalyst support), one of the anode materials. Therefore, there is a need for a method to prevent corrosion of such carbon. In this paper, we report the results on the prevention of anode corrosion in cell reversal by applying additives to the anode. | - |
