dc.description.abstractA computer simulation technique for tracked vehicles crawling on cohesive soft seabed is developed. In order to calculate 3D unsteady dynamics of tracked vehicle, Newmark's method is employed by means of incremental-iterative algorithm. The developed numerical simulation program is capable of real-time simulations on steering operations of vehicles, and is interfaced with users through a GUI environment established by MFC(Microsoft Foundation Class). A tracked vehicle model is tested for steering performance by 3D dynamic simulations.-
