- 본 특집원고에서는 먼저 친환경 선박 개발의 필요성에 대하여 환경 보전, 물류 체계 구축 및 신개념 선박 개발의 관점에서 고찰하고 친환경 선박이란 어떤 선박을 의미하는 가에 대하여 살펴본다. 또한 친환경 선박의 주요 필요 성능과 구성 요소에 대하여 고찰하고 유럽과 미국, 일본 및 국내에서 진행중인 친환경 선박의 개발 현황을 소개한다. 특히 일본에서 진행중인 차세대 친환경 내항선 개발 프로젝트인 \\\\\\\\'Super Eco Ship\\\\\\\\'에 대하여 그 개발 일정과 내용, 주요 기대성과 등에 대하여 자세히 살펴본다.
