Abstract
This paper summarizes an experimental study on the propeller noise. The object of this study is to show the worthiness of the noise measurement at the medium size cavitation tunnel and acquiring useful propeller noise data. Experiment carried out in the MOERI cavitation tunnel with wake screen or dummy body, which is simulated the wake. In order to secure the reliance of measured propeller noise data, background noise of each operating conditions are measured and analyzed. This study will provide a basis for the propeller noise measurement technique for LOCAT (Low Noise Large Cavitation Tunnel)
