dc.description.abstract | Naval vessels have special purposes compare to other merchant ships because they are designed to fight in lethal environment. For that reason, survivability is a vital feature of successful ship acquisition. To enhance the survivability, optimization and compromise of susceptibility, vulnerability and recoverability are needed but it is not easy since each survival features associated with other deign phases. For that reason, the survivability should be considered in early phase of ship acquisition as a key factor. In this study, system engineering approach is studied as a effective way to cover all aspects of complicate problems of ship survivability application. The herein implementation of this study will be helpful to naval vessel designers and managers. | - |
