dc.description.abstract | Nowadays many small and relatively low price AUVs have been developed and became major commodities of underwater equipments market of the world. MOERI also has developed small AUVs and the third one is ISIMI100 AUV. The AUV has been developed for multiple AUV deployment operation research. Its dimension is somewhat larger than that of its predecessor, ISIMI, but the AUV is installed with the same size screw propeller. In the basic performance validation test at the Ocean Engineering Square Tank the maximum speed of the AUV was measured as lower than the expected. In the process of analyzing the result a new estimation method for propulsion performance of AUV has been developed. At the last of this paper the convenience and usefulness of this method for the designing stage of AUV would be shown by propeller diameter variations. | - |
