dc.description.abstract | In this paper, we propose the conceptual design of the multi-function console based on HCI(Human Computer Interaction) principles. Manipulation of maritime console systems such as a INS(Integrated Navigation System), IMCS(Integrated Machinery Control and Monitoring System), and Combat System is difficult because it supports a lot of functions through complex interface. The HCI can provide easy and intuitive interface to the console system. We adapt the HCI concept to multi-function console of ship, and also introduce related works of multi-function console and HCI. The proposed design can provide safe and efficient console operation to user under various condition of sea state. | - |
