Recently concerns about the safety are increasing in all areas. Moreover, in the field of maritime many organizations with the IMO as a center are making an effort to prevent accidents at sea and minimize the losses of human lives, properties and environmental pollution. This paper describes the development of a safety assessment system for a damaged ship using in-house programs developed by MOERI and NAPA that is a design tool used in almost every shipyards. This system aims to assess the survivability of a damaged ship by behavior simulation and structural stability analysis considering wave conditions. And the result of these assessments could be a useful design guideline and be used for making a better design solution in safety point of view.-
