dc.description.abstract | Existing seawater desalination technologies (MED, MSF, RO) have problems with fouling and scale. Therefore, chemicals are used in the pretreatment process, and eco-friendly technologies that minimize this are needed. Adsorption Desalination (AD) technology uses a low-temperature (< 80°C) heat source to simultaneously produce high concentrations of concentrated and fresh water and operates at low temperatures (< 30°C) and low pressure (< 10 kPa). Therefore, problems with existing seawater desalination technologies can be solved. In this study, a coating-type heat exchanger was manufactured to improve the freshwater production and concentration performance of the adsorption desalination method. Additionally, an adsorbent coating-based AD system was designed and manufactured. | - |
